With the second lockdown in place and a move into Tier 3, the staff at DCGS had to be creative in finding new and socially distanced ways to celebrate Christmas.

Whilst we couldn’t gather together and sing carols this year, the year group bubbles were able to mingle for hot chocolate and mince pies, and competitions were launched for the best decorated form rooms and staff work spaces. Lots of homemade decorations, lights and tinsel filled the school including our beautiful face mask angels! Christmas music was piped into the school before lessons started, we had a pop-up string quartet playing carols and a permanent Christmas tree has been planted in the Quad for us to decorate in years to come.

Whilst everyone entered the Christmas spirit, a special thank you goes to Mrs Jones and Miss Jones for all their hard work in bringing much needed Christmas Cheer to December 2020.
