Witness for the Prosecution
Leaving school promptly, we could feel the excitement building as we made our way toward London using the train. By the time we arrived, we were fully immersed in its unique atmosphere - the busy streets, the glowing lights and the hum of life all around, whether it be the cars, trains and bikes or people chatting in general.
The train ride to London had us excited and looking forward to what came next. Although we were all thrilled by arriving in the city, we needed to refuel and did so with a hot evening meal.
By 19:00, we were at the London County Theatre, a venue that immediately impressed with its grand views and immersive seating. The play had such a charm that we felt privileged to be part of the audience.
The play, ‘Witness for the Prosecution’, was utterly phenomenal. The plot was immersive and full of twists that kept us on the edge of our seats. The actors brought a remarkable energy that made the story come alive in a way that was both engaging and unforgettable, inspiring us with future work.
We couldn’t understand why, following that remarkable show, after the final curtain, we had to reluctantly make our way back to school and couldn’t just stay there to watch it again. Even in the quiet of the late night, we couldn’t help but replay the play in our minds, sharing key moments and the enjoyment we shared whilst watching.
