A legacy gift is the perfect way to recognise the part that DCGS has played in your life and will make a significant difference to the lives of our future students. Such a gift is unique.
It costs nothing in your own lifetime, yet has an impact that is felt by many in the future.
Legacies of all sizes are essential to secure the future of the school that made such a difference in your life. Recent legacy support has transformed the Sixth Form experience for students through enabling us to build a dedicated learning and advice centre. It has also supported scientists through contributing to the construction of two new Chemistry research laboratories. Projects such as these, ensure that future generations of our students can continue to be supported and to make their own unerasable mark on the world.
Leaving a gift in your Will is simple and easy to do. Even a 1% gift of your Estate ensures that you are able to both leave a gift to your family and support DCGS. DCGS has its own registered charity - Dr Challoner’s School Educational Trust (registered charity 298550) - which is able to accept legacies and charitable donations and ensures that donors are able to take advantage of existing tax reliefs. We are not able to offer financial or legal advice and would always recommend that you contact a Legal Advisor before drafting or updating a Will or making other plans for your Estate.
DCGS itself exists today thanks to a legacy from Dr Robert Chaloner. Without his donation, and the generosity of previous generations of alumni, the experiences of our current and future students would be significantly poorer.
If you would like to secure an inspiring education for future generations of DCGS students by leaving a gift through your Will, please complete the non-binding Legacy Notification form and our Development Director, Clare Atkinson, will be delighted to discuss your intentions.
Alternatively, she can be contacted by email at clare.atkinson@challoners.org
