We are delighted to share with you the success of our Astra SCITT Certification Evening. It was an important event that brought together over 200 guests to honour and commend the achievements of the 2023-2024 cohort of Astra Partnership Trainees.

The event was a resounding success, with 47 trainees achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awards. These awards were presented by former Astra Principal Stephanie Rodgers, who in her keynote address both congratulated the new Early Career Teachers and invited them to rise to the challenge of being a reflective and thoughtful teacher.

The night continued with a lively reception, providing a perfect setting for attendees to discuss their achievements with family and friends. The evening's celebrations were accompanied by the hum of live music from the Challoner’s Piano Trio, which contributed to the jubilant atmosphere.

Astra School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) works with over sixty schools across Buckinghamshire and beyond to deliver ‘excellence in teacher training’ and many teachers at Dr Challoner’s are involved as mentors and subject tutors.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a triumph. Congratulations, and good luck to all those in their new roles as qualified teachers!
