As we made our way to the Apollo Victoria Theatre last Wednesday, the Year 11 music students eagerly awaited the matinee performance of ‘Wicked’ which we were being taken to see.
Beforehand, we were all particularly familiar with 'Defying Gravity,' the Act One finale and one of the eight set works we are studying for the GCSE in June.
The performance itself was fantastic, filled with an array of brilliant songs. The theatre itself had a lively and uplifting atmosphere, further adding to the brilliance of the performance. A wonderful time was had by everyone, and much thanks to Mrs Anstey and Mrs Turner who organised the trip and took us.
